Samovila in Disguise

An image now gone was originally a nighttime shot of my front garden. I could sit on my porch and watch as the flowers glowed in the evening light. The sun set on this angel’s face and it looked really pretty. The angel is renamed as the goddess Samovila, who is the protectress of animals and also the bringer of healing herbal lore. One of my garden goals this year was to concentrate on healing herbs considering that I needed the healing as much as anything.
A rabbit has since been joined by a couple of other rabbit figurines that were hanging around the yard. The slate chips are from a mountain road in Pennsylvania. They are small but colorful. The stand is the remains of a redbud (cercis canadensis) that did not come back and was cut down this spring.

White cosmos, a central sunflower (volunteer!) and the beginnings of phlox were seen here.
