Resistance has its Perks

In America, if you are a human who is of the category of being here because your parents were not in the mood to leave you to the human wolves they were escaping, and to give you a better life (?), you are in peril. You have just been deemed human garbage, and all 8K+++ of you are the victims of a racist, hateful, bigoted #POTUS who is systematically making the home of your family a living hell for anyone who is not white, male, straight, and close-minded. Oh, and of course, Christian, as you probably are as well.

Well, I’m not. I’m a gardener who is trying to actually bring back the natives who have been hiding in the back(yard) ground. Bringing back the ones who were dear to my locale and who have perhaps lost their way in the great outdoors.

Take the grasses, flowers, and trees that are not too welcome, and still lurking in the background. These are the misunderstood plants that have provided sustenance for untold generations of butterflies, bees, and other pollinators who actually keep our food supply going. They have been treated as undesirables yet, like you #DREAMERS, are simply trying to survive comfortably – like the rest of us!

Here are a few of the unwanted.

Let’s do our best to understand, accept, and incorporate them into our lives. They have resisted extermination and other programs of destruction, and deserve a chance now to recover and regain their trust in us. Let’s resist an agenda of discrimination and devastation until it’s replaced by understanding and tolerance.

For what is a government, what is leadership, what is a democracy but some way to help, sustain, encourage security, and happiness, no matter what the color, origin, paperwork, of the ones hoping for life.
