Square-Inch Gardening – May

Well I finally did it. Sold my house, moved. I landed in a good place, though. Lots of greenery. Forests, pond, wildlife, friends, and loads of walkways to make my day full and also tiring.

But not to worry. Look at what I did! I started a brand new garden in 2019, and the pics are here. But it consisted of transplanted perennials that I had deliberately collected over the years and that meant a lot to me. I didn’t worry that I had too much or too little sun, or compost, or mulch, or water. I just put them in post and carried them along. One by one by one.

I started out by hand-tilling the area best I could. I retained some violets and young milkweed. Also some creeping sedum which counts for a ground cover.
